Full Moon

March’s full moon has multiple names, each capturing different aspects of the emerging spring:

• Worm Moon: This name celebrates the appearance of earthworms as soil thaws.
• Storm Moon: This name acknowledges the frequent spring storms that bring rain and rebirth.
• Sap Moon: This name refers to the maple syrup harvested from trees during this time.

These varied names offer a glimpse into the observations and experiences of past societies, connecting lunar cycles to the natural world and its rhythms.
