Annual Ancestor Vigil

For over twenty years, we have honored the Beloved Dead, the Recent Dead, and the Ancestors in this annual ceremony. This year’s ritual will focus on the recent flooding and the resilience and grief of our beloved community.

The Well is located in West Asheville at the corner of Haywood and Louisiana. We are grateful to them for opening their doors to us this year.

The ceremony lasts about one hour and is open to the respectful public. We are always collecting food and personal items for our community pantry – so donations of shelf-stable food (and/or money) are especially welcome this year. Please arrive early to be sure of parking!
